Unhappy sony and ps2 problem

I heard that sony is being sued and might not be able to sell ps or ps2's in the u.s. Is this true.

No. But Sony is involved in a lawsuit with Connectix, where Sony is the plaintiff and Connectix the defendant...

Actually yes. A company owns a patent on the force feedback mechanism, and has patent agreements with Microsoft and a host of other giant companies.

Sony did not have an agreement with such company, and was sued. The judge awarded the plaintiff and told Sony they could no longer sell PS2s. Sony appealed, and while the appeal is pending they are allowed to still sell the PlayStation 2 console.

I've been humbled ; I guess that tid-bit of info must have been buried in all of the websites regarding the Connectix/Sony lawsuit. Thanks for the good catch Inde, though I'll have to save face in another thread now

Edit: Found a site with that information, interesting I'd never heard of that before...

connectix vs sony was like sooo 5 years ago..
they mentioned the dualshock thing this morning on cnn as well.
